The last few, well weeks have been very long and lots going on.
So many appointments and shuffling of life around.
Just as I was getting somewhere on my new afghan, I ran out of yarn. I had to special order 20 skeins from the yarn shop and they say it will take up to 6 weeks. UGH!
So on to the next project.
I am all about making every minute count for something lately.
As I sit and wait for the boy to come out of school, or in waiting rooms I make it count with a hook and yarn.
Back to using my "what I have" deal.
I started whipping up some more crochet jars. This time in a happy blue and white cotton yarn.
Super summery and they make me smile.
Did anyone start a Something New project this week? I would love to hear about it.

This week was especially full of Life.
From meetings with teachers and doctors almost everyday to school family day and book fairs.
Oh and the call from the school nurse explaining that my son was coming home with a bloody fat lip...all in a day around here.
I have stuck true to my goal for this week in making my afghan every night. I have realized that I need 20 more skeins to finish my goal :( I bought what they had which was 3 skeins...I am a bit short. But I won't give up. Maybe it will be an ombre if I can't find the rest of my color lot.
and poor fatsy takes second place by laying quietly above me on the back of the couch.
Hopefully the pool guy comes today so we can go swimming tomorrow. It will be a nice way to kick off our weekend.

There is a lot going on in life and to bring down the anxiety I feel these days I have opted for a new goal each week.
To focus on fun and make my mind relax a bit, I have taken on trying something new each week.
Something new as in teaching myself or taking a class on something I have never had time to learn.
Or even as far has trying a new beauty treatment or cooking yes I said cooking.
This weeks goal is something I have never tried. I have started a full size afghan for my Queen size bed.
But I am determined to relax every evening and stitch away.
I decided on a lovely yarn titled appropriately enough, Breath of Blue by Waverly Yarns.
It is a soft washable yarn just perfect for the bed.
Speaking of my bed. Here is a shot my husband captured this morning. My fatsy and I asleep.
This is why I need a washable yarn, my bed is fatsy's bed.
Have a great Tuesday, go out and try something new.

Way out of the ordinary for our town, so I am out to enjoy it.
Maybe I will get some more of this wonderful golden and softest ever, Waverly yarn and sit and crochet for the afternoon as the rain comes down.
My kitty seems to have snuggled into my favorite lap blankie ever and fall fast asleep
I will be back tomorrow with more.

My Art doll is back and up for grabs in my Vintage shop.
I am taking a few days to get back on track.
After having the boy off school and grandma here, I need a few days to get back in the groove of things.
See ya Monday.
